100 Club: residents and employees who participate in 100 visits to the Wellness Center and/or Wellness Program classes are awarded a special “100 Club” t-shirt.

Low-Impact Aerobics: choreographed low impact movements to music provide an aerobic workout that strengthens the cardiovascular system.

Chair Classes: strength and stretching exercises are performed to music both in a sitting and standing position. Balance practice and flexibility exercises are
included. If required, the entire class can be completed in the sitting position.

Circuit Class: an efficient, 30-minute workout that combines weight training, aerobics, balance, and flexibility. This is a non-fee class and requires an orientation to the use of the exercise equipment in the Wellness Center.

Line Dancing: a dance in which individuals line up without partners and follow a choreographed pattern of steps to country music.

Strength and Tone: abdominal and back exercises (core muscles); weight-bearing calisthenics and the use of light weights along with some aerobic and agility movements provide a workout program designed to tone and strengthen muscles.

Tai Chi: an evidence-based, eight-step method of Tai Chi movements chosen to promote balance, relaxation, and breathing, as well as enhance the immune system. This ancient Chinese standing exercise combines slow movements with a calm, alert mental state.

Gentle Yoga: movements, also called poses, focus on breath, posture, and body awareness. The poses produce greater strength, balance, and flexibility. Seated poses can be performed on the chair or on a mat and standing poses are used with the assistance of a chair.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise: a nationally recognized program of exercises that maintain joint flexibility; slow further deterioration of bone and cartilage; improve bone strength; and reduce joint stiffness and pain.

"When considering the Wellness Program, I would have to give it an 'A.' Diana and her staff are exceptionally well trained, caring, and wonderful to work with. The facilities are also the best. Thanks for having this available to our residents."
